(1.0 version of April 24, 2018)
Dear Visitor,
This website https://www.pvlegal.it/en/vinci is owned by the company Vinci Law Firm, based in Galleria Ugo Bassi n. 1, 40121 Bologna, VAT number 02964541201.
On our website some cookies are used for different purposes. With this “Cookie Information” we would like to give you some details about cookies and their use.
Some cookies (so-called own cookies or first-party cookies) are conveyed and controlled directly by us. Through these cookies, the Company collects and processes your personal data. In this Information, also pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196 of 30 June 2003 (the “Privacy Code”) and also pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 concerning the protection of individuals regarding processing of personal data (hereinafter, the “Regulations”, the Regulations and the Privacy Code are together defined as “Applicable Regulations”), we describe the modalities of data collection and its purposes.
Other cookies (c.d. third-party cookies) are conveyed and controlled by third parties. In this statement, you will find links to information published by them, which we kindly ask you to read carefully.
A. What are cookies and what are they used for
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by the user send directly to its terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites at the next visit by the same user (c.d. first-party cookies). During the navigation, on his/her terminal the user can also receive the cookies of different sites or web servers (c.d. third-party cookies); this happens because the visited website can be present through elements like: the images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains that reside on other servers than the one on which the requested page is located. In other words, those cookies are set by other websites outside of the one that you are currently visiting.
Cookies can be limited to a single browsing session (so-called session cookies). In this case, they are automatically deactivated when the browser is closed by the user. They can also have a predetermined deadline and will remain stored and active on your hard disk until they will expire, but they will continue to collect the information during different browsing sessions (c.d. permanent cookies).
Cookies are used for different functions. Some are necessary to allow site browsing and to take advantage of its features (so called technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, in aggregate or singular form, based on the number of user’s site access and site’s use (c.d. tracking or analytics cookies). Finally, others are used to track the consumer profile and show you advertisements on the Site that may be of your interest, as they are in line with your tastes and consumption habits (c.d. profiling cookies).
To read more information about the different types of cookies, please find it described below. Find out how they work and what they are for, and freely choose to permit or prevent their use.
B. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of browsing the Site and allow you to use its features. These are always first-party cookies, as they are conveyed directly by us on the Site.
Some technical cookies are essential to offer you an optimal browsing experience or to allow you to authenticate on the site, for example to make an online purchase or enter your reserved area (c.d. navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are normally a session cookies and, therefore, once the browser is closed, they are automatically deactivated.
Other technical cookies are useful to allow the storing of some of your preferences (for example, the choosing of language or country) without reset during subsequent visits (so-called functionality cookies). For this reason, the functional cookies are often persistent cookies, as they remain stored on your computer even after the browser is closed, until the expiring date provided or until your decision to delete them.
The following technical cookies are currently used on the site:
- Cookie name: Type 3
- Category of the cookie: technical cookie of first part, of navigation, of session, of functionality
- Function of the cookie: site functionality
As required by the current legislation on privacy, for the installation of cookies your prior agreement is not required. Of course you are free to stop the installation of technical cookies by modifying your browser settings (please read the paragraph No. 1 E). However, consider that, by blocking the installation of technical cookies, or subsequently by eliminating them, the ability to access the Site or to use it entirely or in part, the enabling or disabling of certain functions or the receiveing of certain services may be compromised in whole or in part.
C. Monitoring or “analytics” cookies
Analytics cookies are used on the Site to collect statistical information, in aggregate or singular form, about the number of users that are accessing the Site and more generally about the visit.
The analytics cookies connected to this site are third-party cookies, since they are not directly conveyed by us but done by third parties. Therefore, they are not installed directly by the Company but rather always by third parties.
The following third-party analytics cookies are installed on the Site with your prior agreement because they are not anonymized, as third parties can access disaggregated analytics data at IP address level (in other words, using these cookies third parties could theoretically trace your identity through the IP address):
Cookie name: Google Analytics
Category of cookies: third-party analytics cookie; permanent cookies;

https://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html?hl=it
For this reason, when you access the Site, a special banner is displayed, which informs you that (i) the third-party analytics cookies are used and (ii) by closing the banner and by scrolling the home page or by clicking any element of the home page outside the banner, you agree the use of cookies. If you express your ageement of cookies installation, we will track it through a specific technical cookie. In this way, we will avoid the cookies banner display during your subsequent visits. Please consider that if you delete the technical cookie from your browser with the modalities described in paragraph E, n. 1), the track of your agreement would be lost and, therefore, during your next Site visit the cookie banner will be displayed again.
Of course you are free to block the installation of analytics cookies at any time, without affecting the visiting site by using its contents. To learn how to do so, please carefully read the information on third-party cookies by following the links shown in the table above.
D. Profiling cookies
The profiling cookies are used to create your own user account, based on your preferences expressed while browsing the Internet. They are also needed to show you some advertisements connected to your profile. This way the advertisements may be more interesting and relevant.
As required by current legislation on privacy, your prior agreement is required for the cookies installation. For this reason, when you access the Site, a special banner is displayed that highlight that (i) the profiling cookies are used on the Site and (ii) closing the banner, scrolling the home page or clicking any element of the ‘home page outside the banner, you agree to the cookies use. If you express your agreement needed for the installation of cookies, it will be tracked through a specific technical cookie. In this way, we can avoid displaying the cookies banner during your subsequent Site visits. Please consider that if you were to delete this technical cookie from your browser with the modalities described in paragraph E, n. 1, the track of your agreement would be lost and, therefore, during your next visit to the Site the cookie banner will be displayed again.
Of course you are free to block the installation of profiling cookies at any time, without affecting visiting the site and without compromising the use of its contents. If you decide to disable the behavioral advertising it does not mean that you will no longer receive the Site advertising. However, the banners you will see may not reflect your interests or your preferences on the browser you are currently using.
The profiling cookies are installed by third parties, who act as independent data controllers (third-party cookies). Here is a list of third-party profiling cookies currently used on the Site, with the link to the information pages created by their developers:

To disable third-party cookies, please see the privacy policies of third parties who install analytics cookies (indicated in paragraph C above) or the profiling cookies (please see the paragraph D above to learn about the other tools available to manage, disable and delete cookies, and more generally to oppose their use). When you disable third-party cookies, you will still view the banner in the home page on the site related to the cookies; in this case, however, by closing the banner, by scrolling the home page or by clicking any element of the home page outside the banner, you will not receive any third-party cookies that you have correctly disabled.
